He bulldozed his way through London Irish’s defence for his second try over the weekend. Just one of many to come for England rugby star Jack Nowell as he made his return to rugby union for the Exeter Chiefs after the 2015 World Cup. Famed for his hair style, tattoo’s, his friendly and outgoing personality and exceptional talents, Jack Nowell is fast becoming a poster boy for the future of English Rugby. For club and country he defines; power, strength, resilience and pace. A perfect combination and it's no surprise that when we had the opportunity to have him become a ‘Chatham Ambassador’, we converted the kick to score his name on our team sheet!
Jack in action for England Six Nations
Similarly to Chatham shoes, Jack is built for purpose; a marauding full-back that can also play on the wing or at outside centre. Strong, long-lasting and crafted extremely well, we both felt Chatham and Jack were the perfect fit for each other and it comes as no surprise that this led him to picking the ‘Lewis’ Goodyear Welted Brogue and ‘Forest’ Wellie to become part of his shoe cupboard!
Great outfit! Shoes go well with the sport shorts!
Moving back to Rugby, Jack made his international debut against France on February 1st 2014 and on his Rugby World Cup debut he scored a hattrick against Uruguay. He joined professional Rugby 5 years ago when he moved up to Devon from Truro (after being a part of Mounts Bay Academy). He has performed to a high level consistently in the Aviva Premiership since 2012, for England U18’s, U20’s and the Men’s First Team, competing in the RBS Six Nations and this year’s Rugby World Cup.
Try, try, try!
After his strong performance over the weekend we tweeted Jack to congratulate him and he responded with - “thanks you guys, something good must of happened during the week” – now I don’t know about you, but I think Jack may be on to something there!
